I began working as a web developer in the mid-1990s, publishing my first commercial site in 1997. Since then, I have acquired a wide range of design, development, and strategic tools to expand my competencies in the areas of visual design, interaction design, and instructional design. I have worked in a variety of capacities as a designer—from on-site to contract to freelance.

graydesign (1999-present)

Since 1999, I have worked with clients in contract and professional settings to produce a wide range of materials. My output extends from logos to branding, front-end design to back-end development, printed materials to interactive digital experiences. In the past, I  worked with clients on contract to develop a range of print and web solutions. Currently, I focus on the development of web experiences for small- to medium-sized companies.

Think Up Consulting (2007-2010)

I led all visual and interactive output from this instructional design and change management consultancy in my role as Art Director. Clients included top-tier organizations in hospitality, healthcare, and auto manufacturing. The work crossed a wide variety of mediums, with designed solutions for web, print, video, and interactive PDF; from training systems to job aids and conference presentations. I led a team of five designers and developers to create these solutions, started and ran an internship program, and helped to build processes within the company to ensure a design focus from analysis to final delivery.
